WHAT IS THIS WEBSITE???

We are so glad you asked that! Simply put, shareyourstoriesonline.com is a place for people to share and read stories. The stories will be original, family-friendly and short. They can be fact or fiction, written or recorded vocally, signed or anonymous.


Original - We want your own stuff. Don't get yourself and us in trouble with copyright infringements. You do not have to be a professional writer or storyteller to put stories on here. This is strictly for amateurs. 


Family-Friendly - Let's keep it clean!  We want this to be fun for everyone. (PG or better)


Short - We are not looking for novels. We want people to be able to get a brief few minutes of entertainment at a time. If you have a longer story you might divide it up into separate smaller stories.


Fact or Fiction - You can write about true life events or you can make something up.  What kind of stories do we want?  Right now we are leaving that wide open. We don't want to limit your imagination or creativity!  


Written or Vocally Recorded - You can type out your story and submit it, or you can read it yourself and submit it as an audio file. Some people have good voices and are good story tellers and people enjoy listening to them. Other people, well, it might be better to just type it out.


Signed or Anonymous - If you want people to know who you are and who wrote the story let us know and we will include your name. If you prefer to remain anonymous, then just let us know.


All stories will be numbered.  After you submit a story and it is posted you can tell your friends to go to this site to read/listen to your story number XX. Hopefully they will be inspired to share a story of their own.
